2017-2018 Senate

Each Senator is elected in September and serves an eight-month term of office beginning on October 1st and ending at the close of the Spring Semester.

The Senate meets every other week on Monday's in Pryz Great Room A at 8pm. All meetings are open to the public.

ABOUT THE SENATE
Led by Vice President Jon Paul Weiss, the SGA Senate is comprised of 26 undergraduate Senators, representing every school and class within the university. Senators are divided into five committees: the Committee on Rules and Administration, the Committee on Academic Affairs, the Committee on University Services, the Committee on Student Resources, and the Committee on Campus Life. The major responsibilities of the Senate include holding committee hearings, advocating on current issues, working with the School's Administration on issues important to the student body, improving academic opportunities, and amplifying student voices.
